Our Programs
Right 2 Thrive’s programs are free and family focused. We work with the entire community the child is immersed in to build programs based on personal empowerment, emotional intelligence skills training, and workforce readiness. Our goal is to help residents increase the likelihood that they will have the financial means to send their children to school, keep their family unit together, improve their overall health and wellbeing, lift themselves out of poverty, and assist in the economic development of their community.
$25,000 worth of Education Scholarships awarded annually to primary, secondary, and university students.
Teaching life skills and healing trauma for over 500 students annually at 3 different schools.

Uninterrupted Learning is Essential for Breaking the Cycle of Poverty
THE PROBLEM
More than 50% of adults in Dagoretti are unemployed and unable to pay school fees; for this and other reasons 30% of primary students are unable to attend secondary school. Furthermore, 70% of those who do attend are unable to finish.
OUR SOLUTION
We connect at-risk youth with the educational opportunities they need to break this cycle of generational poverty. Equally as important, R2T offers these students the emotional support necessary for them to succeed through life skills training and one-on-one mentoring . We act as a point of contact for the school administrators and meet with teachers on a regular basis. We guide and mentor our scholarship students as they work to achieve success. We create a trusting and safe environment and ensure that they build meaningful and healthy relationships with caring adults.

Youth Empowerment Program
Real skills for the real world
THE PROBLEM
The standard education curriculum does not cover essential life skills to adequately prepare students for the challenges of adulthood and employment. In fact, the current education system contributes to anxiety and depression with its didactic teaching style and punitive discipline that triggers students who have experienced childhood trauma.
OUR SOLUTION
Our after school Youth Empowerment Program that teaches life skills and utilizes holistic trauma healing modalities to strengthen the resilience and focus of young students.
In addition to trauma healing, R2T uses emotional intelligence skills to help young students develop an awareness of their emotions and learn to manage them in a healthy way.
The Right 2 Thrive Team has expertise in transformational coaching, emotional intelligence, reiki, BodyTalk Access, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), meditation, and tapping.
OUR IMPACT
Over 500 students have passed through our youth empowerment program (YEP!) and another 500 students are currently enrolled in YEP!
Economic Empowerment Program
Vital business and workforce readiness skills training.
THE PROBLEM
A large number of men and women in Dagoretti lack formal education, self-confidence, and business skills needed to earn an income and meet their family’s basic needs. Additionally, women in Dagoretti are often single mothers, uneducated, unemployed, and refugees living in severe poverty. They lack the ability to save or borrow the minimum funds necessary to open, operate and maintain businesses.
OUR SOLUTION
Provide business skills to adults through workshops and customized mentoring that teaches personal empowerment, business planning, financial recordkeeping, customer service, product pricing, inventory tracking, marketing and branding.
