This is a great educational video on Coronavirus and behaviors to keep us all healthy. Please watch and share it among your groups. There is a lot of misunderstanding out there and I think this video can help clarify some things.
R2T's COVID-19 EMERGENCY RESPONSE EFFORTS
There are at least 16 million Kenyans living below the poverty line of $1.90 per day. This is a very real everyday struggle for the families we serve in Nairobi, Kenya. Life was extremely hard before COVID-19 and now with social distancing and government restrictions, casual laborers living in the informal settlements are really struggling to earn income to help feed their families. With schools closed, Right 2 Thrive has suspended our regular program activities and shifted our focus to supporting over 300 families with survival food kits and wellness checks via sms and phone calls. As we come together to support one another during a very difficult time we kindly ask that you consider supporting a family of 4 with a survival food kit that only costs $20 and will feed them for a week. Please donate here.
Important Note: This fundraiser is separate and serves a different purpose than the Moto Moto Feeding Programme that provides daily lunches at Bignet Education Centre, a partner of Right 2 Thrive. We support the great work of Moto Moto and rely on their feeding programme to fuel the children we teach life skills to in our Youth Empowerment Program. When schools re-open, the Moto Moto meals will be critical to the health and well-being of the students we all love.
Right 2 Thrive's fundraiser is strictly for the COVID-19 Emergency Response. If you would like to be a more long term donor of school lunches, please check out the Moto Moto GOFUNDME site.
